The Vaseline® Healing Project tailors its support to differing skincare needs around the world - so that we can be as effective as possible wherever we go.
Since the Healing Project started in 2015, we've been active in more than ten countries. We've brought dermatological care to Syrian refugees in Jordan, led clinics to desert regions in India and trained nurses in resource-poor communities in South Africa - among many other projects. Where there is a skincare need, the Vaseline® Healing Project aims to make a difference.
The Healing Project provides three main areas of support.
All over the world, Vaseline® products are used to protect and moisturise skin. But access to Vaseline® skincare and other medical supplies is often limited.
There are many reasons why access to adequate skincare and medical supplies can be limited - sometimes natural disasters have destroyed everything - other times communities are too poor and remote to get supplies.
A Vaseline® Skin Care Station, distributed free to clinics across America and other parts of the world.
The Vaseline® Healing Project donates products and medical supplies that are distributed via Direct Relief. Through Direct Relief's global network of clinics and world-leading emergency relief programme, these supplies can achieve extraordinary feats such as helping to safely deliver babies or repairing the cracked skin of refugees.
By donating products and medical supplies, we put skincare in the hands of whoever needs it most.
Dermatology is a specialised form of medicine - becoming a dermatologist takes years of training. But in some parts of the world, professionally trained medics are hard to come by and dermatologists are non-existent. Without access to the right doctors, skin issues may be misdiagnosed and left untreated.

The Vaseline® Healing Project sponsors world-class dermatologists to undertake medical missions around the world. Our teams of experts head to wherever their care is needed most - remote indigenous regions, the aftermath of natural disasters, and communities whose traditions and way of life make healthy skin a necessity. We've sent dermatologists to all corners of the globe to protect and restore skin.
We provide these services free of charge for those that need them.
Better skincare in the long-term depends on well-trained local professionals. The Vaseline® Healing Project holds seminars taught by leading dermatology consultants to expand the knowledge and skills of local medics.

Through this training, medics learn how to make the right diagnosis and learn about treatment options. The sessions often include before-and-after tests and take-away information, as well as treatment sessions to provide 'on the job' training to improve practical skills.
Better training for medics means better skin health for entire communities, spanning across entire lifetimes.
