A training programme funded and co-developed by the Vaseline® Healing Project has enabled township nurses to provide better care for entire communities.
The Vaseline® Healing Project has operated a pioneering training programme in partnership with the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Designed by leading South African and international experts in dermatology, this training course was the first of its kind - and a huge benefit to the nurses who serve local communities.
In South African townships, healthcare can be a tough job. With some of the highest HIV infection rates in the world - and with nine out of ten HIV patients experiencing skin diseases - our training course delivered against a powerful need for dermatological training among community nurses.
The Vaseline® Healing Project operates product donation programmes, training courses and medical missions around the world.
